Our sunlight readable transflective technology is a passive
enhancement/modification process applied to a standard transmissive
LCD display protected through a series of pending patents.
Basically, we take a TN (though sometimes PVA, MVA, ASV
or other technology) transmissive TFT LCD display that our
customers will generally provide, or that we have had successful
results working with in the past, and we'll apply a series
of non-electrical adjustments and additions in order to
create a display that can be read in all conditions of ambient
light -again, without any change in power consumption.
This process provides a fairly unique proposition in that
it turns a normally transmissive display into one which
can be used in outdoor applications as a transflective display
without any change to the native electrical or mechanical
characteristics of the display.
